The 2025 Ford Taurus Full Hybrid has made its debut in the Middle East, offering significantly improved fuel efficiency to one of the region’s most beloved luxury sedans. Equipped with a 1.5L engine across all three trims, this marks Ford’s first hybrid sedan launch in the Middle East.

Boasting a spacious interior, cutting-edge safety and convenience features, and a high-performance driving experience, the 2025 Taurus Hybrid continues the legacy of this family-friendly sedan, which has been a favorite in the region for decades.

The introduction of the Taurus Hybrid underscores Ford‘s dedication to addressing the growing demand for eco-friendly options and supports the transition towards smart cities and renewable energy. This vehicle forms a key part of Ford’s broader electrification strategy, with major milestones and expansion plans set through 2025.

Efficiency Without Compromise

The full-hybrid Taurus’ electric motor drive operates at low vehicle speeds and gives the engine an assist, enhancing fuel economy and providing a substantial efficiency advantage without compromising on the driving performance seen in a traditional combustion engine vehicle.

Depending on the driving conditions, and mostly in in low-speed maneuvers – such as parking, idling and city traffic – the Taurus Hybrid automatically switches to Electric Drive Mode, which is charged either through the combustion engine or regenerative braking. The power output of the electric motor is 48KW equivalent to 64 HP, complemented by the 1.5L Engine which gives a net power of 138KW equivalent to 185 HP.

For drivers who prefer an internal combustion engine (ICE), the 2025 Taurus is equipped with Ford’s proven 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 239 Hp and 382 Nm of torque. Offered with front-wheel drive and three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Sport – the ICE Taurus enjoys an impressive fuel economy reaching as high as 15.3km/l.

Comfort on the Inside

Featuring available premium leather, suede-lined power seats, dual-zone auto AC, a panoramic sunroof, and seven shades of ambient lighting, the Ford Taurus’s interior was crafted with comfort and convenience for driver and passengers alike. Sound-muffling materials used in the Taurus’ manufacturing process minimize exterior noise, ensuring a quiet ride for all occupants.

With spacious headroom at the front and back and a large 520L trunk, the sedan packs in plenty of practicality to match its comfort credentials.

Technology-Powered Safety and Convenience

A range of standard and available technologies have been built into the 2025 Taurus to ensure the safety of all occupants is paramount.

Standard to every Taurus are six airbags built into the Taurus – two at the front, two at the sides, and two in the curtain zone. Available driver-assist tech in the Trend and Titanium trims include Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Forward Collision Mitigation systems; Forward Collision and Lane Keeping/Departure warnings; Rear Parking Sensor; Driver Impairment Monitor; and an Emergency Steering Assist, which works with other safety systems to prep the Taurus for extra-responsive steering in moments of emergency.

The Taurus Titanium ups the safety and convenience ante further, with a Reverse Brake Assist bringing the sedan to a stop when detecting motion when the vehicle is exiting backwards out of a parking spot and a 360 View Camera giving drivers a complete picture of Taurus’ surroundings.

The Taurus also features available Adaptive Cruise Control, which automatically slows the vehicle down when detecting traffic, before returning to the driver’s preset cruise speed after things clear up.

Central Connectivity

At the heart of Taurus’ technology offering is a multifunctional 13.2-inch center touchscreen, which complements an impressive 8-inch digital instrument panel cluster. The state-of-the-art center screen comes loaded with Ford’s SYNC4 technology, providing drivers with easy access to communications, entertainment, and information through both voice and touch prompts.

Drivers and passengers can keep the Taurus clutter-free thanks to the available inductive wireless charging for smartphones, while music-lovers will appreciate the six-speaker sound system.

The GCC Board Directors Institute (GCC BDI), the region’s leading authority on advancing board effectiveness and corporate governance, has announced the graduation of its latest cohort of 64 individuals who have completed its Certificate and Diploma in Board Directorship and Board Secretary Certification Program in partnership with the Financial Academy.

As a global benchmark for tourism sector performance, the UN World Tourism Barometer emphasizes Saudi Arabia’s remarkable achievements in both visitor numbers and economic impact. The Kingdom’s strong visa facilitation initiatives, including the expansion of its e-visa program, have attracted millions of international tourists, further strengthening Saudi Arabia’s global connectivity.

Saudi Arabia’s investment in transformative projects, such as, the Red Sea Project, NEOM and Diriyah, has propelled its tourism growth. Michael Jordan has found a buyer for his Chicago estate after more than 12 years.

The 7-acre compound, custom built for the basketball legend in the ’90s in the area’s Highland Park suburb, first hit the market in 2012 asking $29 million. By 2015, the price on the nine-bedroom home was reduced to $14.855 million—the digits of which add up to 23, Jordan’s jersey number—and it’s remained at that price ever since.

Spanning over 32,000 square feet on Point Lane, the home reflects the larger-than-lifeness of its owner, with 19 bathrooms, five fireplaces, a regulation-sized basketball court, a massive weight room where Jordan used to train, and a built-in aquarium, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The sale was first reported by Crain’s Chicago Business.

Outside the home, there is a tennis court, a putting green and a circular infinity pool with its own island, accessible by a small bridge. There are plenty of circular touches throughout, including a round skylight above a circular eat-in kitchen, an arched wine cellar and a circular sitting room with views directly onto the basketball court.

A large lounge area that was once an indoor pool includes glass sliding walls on either side that can open up completely during Chicago’s milder months.

Other unique features include doors from the original Playboy Mansion, a three-bedroom guesthouse and the number 23 emblazoned on the front gate.

Compass agent Katherine Malkin, who is marketing the property, confirmed the pending sale to The Athletic. Malkin did not respond to a request for comment, and the buyer and price were not immediately available. Jordan could not immediately be reached for comment.

It’s unlikely to exceed the asking price. A year after the home first hit the market in 2012, Jordan decided to sell via auction, but the home failed to even meet the reserve bid of $13 million. Despite the lack of movement, Jordan has not dropped the asking price any further since 2015.

Homes in Highland Park, a wealthy suburb of Chicago can fetch upward of $5 million, but Jordan’s home has been the priciest option on the market for a long time. Fellow Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen sold a nearby home in 2023 after a five-year wait. That home, which Pippen bought for $2.6 million in 2004, sold for $1.7 million two decades later, according to Realtor.com.

It seems that despite the home court advantage, this is one game that Jordan has not been able to win.
