Born in Oklahoma in 1985 to Iraqi parents, Mona’s journey from the United States to the UAE in 2003 shaped her identity and lit her passion for beauty. After completing a degree in finance at the American University of Sharjah, she transitioned from investment banking to follow her true passion in the beauty and fragrance industry.

Inspired by the rich traditions of Middle Eastern perfumery, she launched KAYALI to bring these timeless elements to the world.
