The EU initiative is designed to establish a collaborative platform for sharing best practices and expertise between the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) stakeholders.
Recognized as a significant advancement in clean energy and climate action, the project aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and foster the adoption of policies and technologies that aid the GCC’s transition to green energy. Additionally, it seeks to enhance cooperation among EU green technology companies and their Gulf region counterparts.
Significant Milestone in Clean Energy Efforts
The project was launched at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) pavilion during the esteemed summit held in Abu Dhabi. This event is seen as a pivotal moment in the global shift towards a cleaner energy future and serves as a potent example of international cooperation.
Lucie Berger, the EU Ambassador to the UAE, emphasized that this project underscores the united effort to combat climate change. She also pointed out the critical role of EU and GCC businesses in meeting global objectives to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency.
Ambassador Berger stressed the importance of improving the business climate through this project to achieve these ambitious goals.
Lukasz Kolinski, Head of Unit for Renewables and Energy System Integration at the European Commission, noted the essential nature of EU-GCC collaboration in the green transition for reaching climate objectives. He highlighted that the initiative would spur innovation, open new opportunities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Tarig Ahmed, Regional Programme Officer for the MENA Region at IRENA, remarked that this project marks a crucial step towards a sustainable future for the GCC region and the planet at large.

The five 20-inch double-spoke wheels exude a dynamic aesthetic, resembling sleek aircraft lines, complementing the car’s parabolic side profile. Rear diffusers conceal mufflers adorned with distinctive V-shaped chrome trim inspired by the Crest Grille, embodying an eco-conscious ethos in today’s technology-driven era.
