In a strategic move toward sustainability, Advanced Media, a leading provider of cutting-edge media solutions in the Middle East, has partnered with DHL Express UAE, the global leader in international express logistics, to reduce logistics carbon emission through DHL GoGreen Plus solutions. This initiative aligns with Advanced Media’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.

The agreement was officially signed at Advanced Media’s Dubai headquarters, with Jawad Ouaziz, VP Commercial of DHL Express UAE, and Alaa Al Rantisi, General Manager of Advanced Media, commemorating the beginning of this impactful collaboration.

As part of this partnership, Advanced Media will leverage DHL’s GoGreen Plus service, which enables businesses to reduce their carbon footprint by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for shipments.

Jawad Ouaziz, VP Commercial of DHL Express UAE, emphasized the significance of the collaboration: “This partnership exemplifies how innovative logistics solutions can contribute to a more sustainable future. With DHL’s GoGreen Plus service, we are empowering Advanced Media to actively reduce its carbon footprint and set a benchmark for sustainability in the media industry.”

Alaa Al Rantisi, General Manager of Advanced Media, added: “Our partnership with DHL’s GoGreen Plus is another important milestone towards Advanced Media’s commitments to carbon reduction and climate action. We hope that this marks the beginning of our sustainable journey together and we serve as an example to other SMEs in the region as well.”

Launched in 2022, DHL’s GoGreen Plus service has become an industry-leading solution that leverages SAF to reduce Scope 3 emissions, the indirect greenhouse gas emissions that occur in the value chain. The program operates on the carbon in setting principle rather than offsetting, with results audited by an independent third-party, ensuring transparency and accountability. As part of this agreement, Advanced Media will receive an SGS certificate confirming the emissions reductions achieved through the initiative.

DHL’s commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 is further reinforced by its broader sustainability efforts, which include the electrification of its delivery fleet, the expansion of SAF use across its aviation network, and the operation of carbon-neutral facilities.

The agreement between Advanced Media and DHL Express UAE represents a milestone in sustainable logistics and media, reinforcing the UAE’s vision for a greener, more environmentally responsible future.

Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism sectors show strong Q1 growth

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism will showcase its tourism growth at Arabian Travel Market 2025, welcoming 1.4 million overnight guests in Q1 2025. The emirate attracted top markets like India, China, Russia, the UK, and the USA, with hotel revenue increasing 18% and occupancy maintaining high levels.

Mon, Apr 28, 2025 3 min

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is set to showcase the emirate’s continued momentum as a globally appealing destination at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, which opens in Dubai on Monday.

With tourism and hotel figures presenting sustained growth in Q1 2025, Abu Dhabi remains firmly on track to meet ambitious visitor targets for the year ahead, DCT Abu Dhabi said.

Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector is off to a strong start in 2025, welcoming 1.4 million overnight guests in the first quarter of the year. DCT Abu Dhabi’s participation at ATM will highlight Abu Dhabi’s growing popularity as a destination for international visitors, with guest numbers growing in Q1 2025 compared to the same period last year. The emirate drew visitors from top tier targets markets and beyond — with best performing markets including India, China, Russia, the UK, and the USA.

This positive momentum translated into significant gains for the industry, with hotels generating AED2.3 billion ($626 million) in revenue, an 18% increase compared to the same period last year, and revenue per available room (RevPAR) reaching AED484, a 25% year-on-year increase. Hotel occupancy maintained high levels during the period, including in Ramadan, recording 79% across the emirate.

These early indicators reflect that Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector is on track to reach its target of contributing AED62 billion to the economy in 2025, a 13% increase from 2024, and supporting 255,000 jobs across the emirate in 2025. This sustained success reflects Abu Dhabi’s evolving and increasingly distinctive value proposition and offerings, driven by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030.

Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “Our strategic approach to elevating Abu Dhabi as a cultural and tourism destination is delivering tangible results. Sustained investment into data-led destination marketing, diversified programming, a culture-first ethos and ever-improving visitor experience touchpoints have driven robust growth in Q1 2025, building on a strong 2024. As we showcase the offerings of our emirate at Arabian Travel Market, we are focused on strengthening our key partnerships, expanding our global reach, and accelerating progress towards our long-term tourism goals—all while ensuring that Abu Dhabi’s unique cultural identity remains at the heart of everything we offer.”

Growth continues from strong 2024 performance

In 2024, Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector witnessed positive performance across multiple metrics. Last year, the emirate welcomed a 7% year-on-year increase in overall hotel and alternative accommodation guests combined, with international overnight visitors reaching 3.2 million—a 28% year-on-year surge.

Last year, hotel occupancy rates reached 79% across the emirate. This strong demand translated into substantial gains, as total hotel revenue grew by 18.1% year-on-year, generating over AED7.6 billion. RevPAR also climbed by 22%, reflecting the industry’s robust profitability.

Supporting this growth, DCT Abu Dhabi significantly expanded its global marketing efforts, increasing operations from 11 markets in 2023 to 25 markets in 2024, with a focus on emerging regions such as the CIS, APAC, and Eastern Europe.

Home to world-class museums, contemporary art, rich heritage, a diverse culinary landscape, and hospitality rooted in Emirati values, Abu Dhabi has established itself as a destination where culture is reimagined to deliver meaningful impact and experiences.

At ATM 2025, DCT Abu Dhabi will bring this cultural and creative story to life at its experiential stand, welcoming travel trade partners, media, and industry leaders to explore the destination’s latest developments, partnerships, and opportunities.

Now open to the public, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi is a key addition to Saadiyat Cultural District, which will be one of the greatest concentrations of world-leading cultural and educational institutions.

Already home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, the District is growing as an unparalleled community of museums and cultural landmarks, and in 2025 will welcome Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the UAE, and Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, narrating the story of life on earth and the origins of our universe. Also on track for completion is Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, featuring a global collection of modern and contemporary art that reflects the diversity of cultures and trends from around the world.

The addition of team Lab Phenomena Abu Dhabi reinforces the emirate’s position as a global cultural epicenter, offering visitors a unique and transformative experience while showcasing its commitment to creativity, innovation and cultural collaboration on a global scale.

The Experience Abu Dhabi stand at ATM 2025

Aligned with ATM 2025’s theme of ‘Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity’, the Experience Abu Dhabi stand will showcase key cultural sites and attractions across the emirate, with a focus on Saadiyat Cultural District, a global platform for cultural exchange, and Al Ain Region and Al Dhafra Region, offering visitors a diverse blend of wellness, nature, and adventure.

Organized by DCT Abu Dhabi and located in Sheikh Saeed Hall, the Experience Abu Dhabi stand will offer a program of activations and experiences, joined by 73 key trade and tourism partners from across the emirate, including Etihad, Miral, Yas Island, hospitality representatives, and many more.

Abu Dhabi’s upward trajectory is aligned with the Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to attract 39.3 million visitors annually, support the creation of 178,000 new tourism jobs, expand hotel capacity to 50,000 rooms, and contribute AED90 billion to the emirate’s GDP by the end of the decade, DCT Abu Dhabi said.

Swissport is expanding its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, launching ground handling operations at seven additional airports as of 1 June 2025. This strategic growth brings Swissport’s network in the Kingdom to 13 airports, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality services across the region.

Swissport International AG, the global leader in airport ground services and air cargo handling, is expanding its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by launching ground handling operations at seven additional airports, starting on 1 June 2025. This strategic expansion will bring Swissport’s network in the Kingdom to a total of 13 airports, including new locations in Hail, Al Jouf, Tabuk, Yanbu, Taif, Abha, and Jizan, alongside the existing six airports in Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, Dammam, Al-Qassim, and Al-Ula.

This expansion underscores Swissport’s role as one of the main pillars of the Kingdom’s dynamic aviation sector while enhancing service delivery for international airlines. With the addition of seven new stations, Swissport is poised to significantly strengthen its operational footprint in Saudi Arabia—marking a 50% increase in flight handling capacity compared to 2024.

By expanding our footprint across Saudi Arabia, we continue to strengthen our position as a trusted partner for airlines in the region,” says Hamad Alhemede, CEO of Swissport Saudi Arabia. “We are dedicated to providing reliable, high-quality ground services that ensure a consistent, top-tier experience for both airlines and passengers. We extend our sincere thanks to GACA, Matarat, and the Air Connectivity Program for their continued support and collaboration, which have been instrumental in making this expansion possible.”

Initially offering passenger and ramp handling services, Swissport is also exploring the introduction of additional services such as cargo handling, aircraft cleaning, and lounge operations, with the goal of becoming a one-stop-shop for airlines in Saudi Arabia.

“At Swissport, we are proud to be a strategic enabler of Saudi Vision 2030. As the Kingdom aspires to welcome 330 million passengers, we are fully aligned with this bold ambition,” says Dirk Goovaerts, CEO of Swissport for Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India. “By expanding our presence to 13 airports across Saudi Arabia, we are reinforcing our commitment to support the Kingdom’s transformation into a global aviation hub. Our growing footprint places us at the center of this remarkable growth, delivering world-class ground services that enhance the travel experience and help connect Saudi Arabia with the world.”

Swissport’s continued growth in Saudi Arabia is underpinned by strong partnerships with leading global airlines. Among them, Air Arabia—a key regional partner—will serve as the launch customer at several of the new stations. This collaboration enables Swissport to support the airline’s operations across all its destinations in the Kingdom, ensuring consistent, high-quality service throughout the country.

As part of this growth, Swissport plans to significantly expand its workforce in Saudi Arabia. All new roles will be filled locally, reinforcing the company’s commitment to regional employment, and contributing to the economic development of the cities where it operates.

In 2024, Swissport International AG provided best-in-class airport ground services for some 247 million airline passengers (2023: 232 million), welcomed 5.9 million lounge guests (2023: 5.7 million), and handled roughly 5 million tons of air freight (2023: 4.7 million) at 117 air cargo centers worldwide. Several of its warehouses have been certified for pharmaceutical logistics by IATA’s CEIV Pharma and by the British MHRA. At the end of December 2024, the world’s leader in airport ground services and air cargo handling, with currently around 62,000 employees, was active at 279 airports in 45 countries on six continents.

GISEC Global to Highlight Women Leaders Driving Cybersecurity Innovation

Dubai’s GISEC Global 2025 event, supported by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, aims to increase women’s representation in the cybersecurity industry. The event features sessions, keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by female leaders to discuss achievements and insights.

Thu, Apr 24, 2025 3 min

As Dubai prepares to become the center of the cybersecurity universe with GISEC Global 2025, two female cybersecurity leaders have emphasized the importance of diversity and attracting more females to the industry to tackle the pressing challenges.

The Middle East and Africa’s largest cybersecurity event returns for its 14th edition from 6th to 8th May at Dubai World Trade Centre, with a key focus on the influential role of women in the worldwide cybersecurity industry. It will be hosted by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, and supported by Dubai Electronic Security Centre, Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police.

A recent report shows that women worldwide account for only 24 per cent of security teams. To help increase this figure and break down barriers in this sophisticated and complex field, GISEC’s Inspire Program returns, spotlighting female leaders who can shape the future of cybersecurity. Featuring a series of sessions highlighting the achievements and insights of female cyber security professionals, it includes keynote speeches, panel discussions and interactive sessions led by distinguished female leaders and changemakers.

The cybersecurity super-connector’s agenda includes dedicated panel discussions and workshops focusing on women, and the event is set to welcome hundreds of experts from around the world. The event’s distinguished list of eight female speakers includes:  H.E. Tigist Hamid Mohammed, Director General at Information Network Security Administration (INSA); Dr. Bushra AlBlooshi, Director of Cybersecurity Governance Risk Management Department at DESC; Francel Margareth Padilla, Female Cybersecurity Leader & Evangelist at Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Pei Ling LEE, Head of Cyber Strategy and Capabilities Development at INTERPOL and others.

Among those taking to the stage is Aarti Borkar, Corporate Vice President of Customer Success and Incident Response for Microsoft’s Security business.

A passionate supporter when it comes to encouraging women to pursue a career in technology, she believes it is crucial that women are given opportunities to leverage their expertise, given the ever-more sophisticated evolution of cyber threats.

She said: “The need for cognitive diversity in cybersecurity is foundational as it’s the only way we can see a situation in a full 360-degree view. It allows us to build more comprehensive programs. We tend to describe cybersecurity in terms of warfare and attack scenarios, whereas security going forward is about analytics, predictive models and proactive protection.

“Organizations need to continue to highlight the importance of diverse and cohesive teams to improve the outcomes we need in the cyber security space and highlight the amazing women that are doing truly innovative work so other females are inspired to follow them. Every action counts towards building a more cognitively diverse workforce.”

Her views come at a time where the advent of AI is helping to strengthen security systems and cyber defences while also presenting potential risks that can benefit cyber criminals.

“Historically, security by obscurity was relied upon, but AI can find everything, necessitating proactive data security measures,” she added. “On the other hand, AI tips the balance between defenders and attackers in favour of the defenders. As AI adoption grows, the relationship between AI and data security becomes crucial. If we employ AI to help us with improving the speed and accuracy of catching incidents early and improving our hunting capabilities it truly changes the game.”

Danni Brooke is another female industry leader attending GISEC Global as a speaker. As co-owner and co-founder of OSINT Group, she brings her expertise in covert operations, intelligence, and cybercrime into the digital world, having spent over a decade undercover, infiltrating some of the UK’s most dangerous criminal organizations.

With a strong commitment to empowering women, Brooke, who is also an award-winning author and a member of the Cybersecurity Board of Advisors, believes human effort is vital to protecting data and information, and that more needs to be done to highlight the different roles available within the industry.

She said: “One of the biggest risks in the future of cybersecurity is the increasing sophistication of social engineering attacks. As technology evolves, so do the tactics used by cybercriminals, who are now leveraging AI, deepfakes, and behavioral analysis to manipulate individuals into unwittingly compromising their own security.

“AI and ML (machine learning) will be crucial in detecting and responding to cyber threats in real time, using behavioral analysis to identify anomalies, prevent attacks, and automate defenses.

“I strongly believe that a human is essential in any threat intelligence operation. While automation plays a critical role in speeding up detection and response, humans are absolutely needed to help plot and piece the data jigsaw together. The ability to interpret patterns, understand context, intuition and make informed decisions is something that machines alone cannot replicate.”

She added: “One of the biggest barriers to diversity in cybersecurity is the misconception that it is purely a technical field. Many people are unaware that cybersecurity encompasses a wide range of roles, including threat intelligence, risk management, policy development, governance and human behavior analysis. Organizations should focus on outreach and education, highlighting these opportunities to attract a more diverse talent pool.”

The three-day GISEC Global 2025 at Dubai World Trade Centre is set to attract over 750 global cybersecurity brands as well as over 25,000 professionals from more than 160 countries. It will feature a packed schedule including thought-provoking debates and engaging discussions as well as all-new OT Security and a National Security Program.

Saudi Health Tech Startup Kilow Launches All-in-One Weight Loss Platform

Saudi-born digital health startup Kilow has launched a science-backed weight loss program for the Saudi population, offering lifestyle coaching, health tracking, and access to modern medical treatments. Available in Saudi Arabia and Arabic, the platform includes personalized nutrition, sleep, exercise coaching, lab testing, real-time health tracking, home delivery of medications, and licensed medical consultations.

Mon, Apr 21, 2025 2 min

Kilow, a Saudi-born digital health startup, officially launches today, introducing a new, science-backed approach to weight loss. Built by local experts for local needs, the platform offers a seamless, all-in-one program that brings together lifestyle coaching, health tracking, and, where appropriate, access to modern medical treatments like GLP-1 medications.

Designed specifically for the Saudi population, the application is only available in Saudi Arabia and in Arabic, with other languages to be added at a later stage.Kilow helps users lose weight in a safe, sustainable, and personalized way, whether they need expert medical support, habit-building tools, or targeted intervention options.

A One-Stop Shop for Weight Loss in Saudi Arabia

With obesity and chronic lifestyle-related conditions on the rise across developed nations, more people are searching for effective, personalized solutions. Kilow is built to meet that need- in Saudi Arabia, for Saudi lifestyles. The platform removes the friction, guesswork, and overwhelm from weight loss by offering:

  • Personalized nutrition, sleep, and exercise coaching
  • At-home lab testing and real-time health tracking
  • Home delivery of medications and health essentials
Access to licensed medical consultations and optional GLP-1 medications
  • A Saudi-focused lifestyle modification program built for long-term results

Getting started is simple: users download the app, fill in a few health details, and receive a free medical consultation. After approval, they choose from flexible, affordable plans ranging from one to six months.

Homegrown Innovation, Global Experience

Kilow is founded by digital health expert and four-time startup founder Fahed Al Essa, whose career spans five countries and two decades across healthcare, biotech, and digital health. But Kilow is rooted in Saudi Arabia-developed locally, and designed for the unique needs of Saudi users.

“This isn’t just another weight loss app,” said Al Essa. “It’s built by people who understand the Saudi lifestyle and the health challenges we face. For me, Kilow is deeply personal-after years of struggling with my weight, I finally feel like I’ve found a solution that works, and I wanted to share that with others.”

What makes Kilow stand out is its practical, culturally relevant approach to change.

“If you tell someone in the GCC to stop eating rice, they probably won’t. But if you teach them how to eat rice better, that’s where we specialize. We don’t want to overhaul your life. We give you small, practical tools-like having vinegar before your rice meal to reduce blood sugar spikes. Tiny changes. Big effect.”

Looking Ahead

Kilow’s launch comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is placing wellness at the heart of Vision 2030. With regional expansion on the horizon, the company is also preparing to announce its first funding round in the coming weeks.

“We believe Saudi Arabia can lead the future of digital health,” said Al Essa. “With Kilow, we’re proud to show what local innovation can do- meeting real patient needs with real solutions.”

Future product plans include AI-powered meal tracking, personalized real-time coaching based on real-time activity and biometrics, and precision health features such as:

  • Genetic and hormonal testing to personalize treatment paths
  • Smart meal feedback using wearable glucose and activity data
  • Adaptive habit coaching powered by behavioral science
Voice-guided check-ins to improve engagement and emotional well-being
  • Predictive health scoring to identify weight loss plateaus before they happen

Affordable Car Modifications are Driving UAE’s Customization Craze

UAE car customization is gaining popularity, with a growing segment opting for budget-friendly enhancements. UK car enthusiast Michael Terry saved nearly £1000 by using an affordable head unit from Temu. The car accessories market is expected to grow between 2024-2028, driven by rising demand for infotainment systems and tech-savvy upgrades.

Mon, Apr 21, 2025 2 min

In the UAE, cars are more than just a mode of transport, they’re an extension of personal style. From luxury interiors to cutting-edge tech, vehicle customization has become a booming lifestyle trend, with enthusiasts constantly looking for ways to enhance both form and function.

While many still splurge on performance and visual upgrades, a growing segment of UAE drivers are leaning into smart, budget-friendly enhancements that deliver impact without the premium price tag. One example comes from the UK, where car enthusiast Michael Terry revamped his BMW M240i using an affordable head unit from Temu, saving nearly £1,000 in the process.

Michael had long admired his BMW, but the outdated iDrive system didn’t quite match the modern aesthetic he wanted. The official BMW OEM Retrofit Sat Nav was priced at over £1,095 – too steep for a practical upgrade. That’s when he turned to Temu and found a sleek, portable smart head unit for just £182.

“At first, I thought if you’re going to put tech in a BMW, it has to be top-tier,” Michael said. “But I don’t got millions in the bank account. I needed something that could bring the car into the modern age without blowing the budget,” he added.

True to his petrol head nature, he took matters into his own hands and installed it himself, keeping the original iDrive system intact for flexibility – a bonus for car owners who want innovation without losing factory features.

According to TechSci Research, the UAE’s car accessories market is set for robust growth between 2024–2028, fueled by rising demand for infotainment systems, high-speed internet penetration, and the country’s affinity for tech-savvy upgrades.

With more original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) now offering infotainment in mid and small car segments, personalization is no longer exclusive to luxury vehicles. Platforms like Temu, with their direct-from-factory pricing, make it even more accessible, especially for younger drivers or tech-savvy consumers who value both quality and cost-efficiency.

From Bluetooth-enabled infotainment units to ambient lighting and custom mounts, UAE car owners are now prioritizing features that enhance the driving experience without compromising on aesthetics or safety.

As Michael’s story shows, quality upgrades no longer have to come with a luxury price tag.

“Temu made my dream car feel modern again — without the expensive bill. It works great and looks amazing in the car. For the price, I couldn’t believe the quality,” he said.

In a market that embraces innovation and personal expression, smart upgrades like these are fast becoming the norm, not the exception. For UAE drivers, the road ahead isn’t just about where you’re going — it’s about how good you feel behind the wheel.

Porsche 911 GT3 Conquers Nordschleife with 6:56 Lap Time

The 911 GT3 with manual transmission set a record of 6:56.294 minutes on the Nordschleife, showcasing impressive performance with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires.

Fri, Apr 18, 2025 2 min

“More and more 911 GT3 customers are opting for the six-speed manual transmission. And more and more often we are asked by these customers how fast a 911 GT3 with manual transmission would be on the Nordschleife,” says Andreas Preuninger, Director GT Model Line. “We have now answered this question and – although we know that the variant with PDK is significantly faster – we drove our official lap time with a manual six-speed gearbox. Even without the automated, super-fast and precise gearshifts of the PDK, and with a conventional instead of electronically controlled limited-slip differential, the new 911 GT3 shaved around 3.6 seconds off the time of its predecessor with PDK.”

On a sunny late afternoon, with an ambient temperature of 12 degrees and a track temperature of 27 degrees, Bergmeister set off on the 20.832-kilometre track in the 375 kW (510 PS) 911 GT3 with Weissach package. As with the official lap of the previous model, the car was fitted with road-legal Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires (255/35 R20 at the front and 315/30 R21 at the rear).

The goal: fastest lap time in a production car with manual transmission

“When we decided to set the official lap time of the new 911 GT3 with manual trans-mission, we naturally looked at who was at the top of the leaderboard,” says Preuninger. A competitor needed 7:01.300 minutes to complete a lap of the shortened 20.6-kilometre version of the track. This corresponds to a time of around 7:05.800 minutes on the full 20.832-kilometer lap. This was the time to be beaten. Under notarial super-vision, the timer stopped at 6:56.294 minutes for the new 911 GT3, improving on the previous record by more than 9.5 seconds.

Better performance with the same power output

“The new 911 GT3 inspires even more confidence at the limit than the previous mod-el. I was faster in almost every corner,” says Bergmeister, describing the handling of the sports car. “We learned a lot from the 911 GT3 RS, especially with the chassis. The car is much more stable on bumps and over the curbs. And thanks to the eight-per-cent-shorter gear ratio, there is noticeably more drive from the rear axle when accelerating with the same engine power. Even if it would have been a few seconds faster with the seven-speed PDK – with the six-speed manual gearbox I definitely had more to do on the fast lap – and it was therefore even more fun.”

Campbell Gray Hotels Outlines Future Hospitality Vision for the GCC

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is transforming the hospitality industry with a focus on design, technology, and sustainability. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt are transforming the industry, with cities like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, and Jeddah becoming experiences in themselves. The future of the GCC’s hospitality sector is expected to be shaped by smart technologies, personalized service, sustainability, and inter-GCC connectivity.

Thu, Apr 17, 2025 3 min

As the GCC rapidly evolves into one of the world’s most influential hubs for luxury hospitality, Campbell Gray Hotels shares its strategic vision for the region’s future. With a focus on design, technology, and sustainability of true service, Chairman Saad Audeh offers a refined outlook on what tomorrow’s hospitality will look and feel like in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and across the region.

“The GCC is no longer simply catching up, it is leading,” said Audeh. “We are seeing a shift from transactional luxury to experiential intimacy, supported by innovation, thoughtful design, and an emotional connection to place. This is where tomorrow’s hospitality lives.”

The hospitality landscape in the GCC is undergoing a transformation that is not only setting new regional benchmarks but also adding to the global standards. The UAE and Saudi Arabia, in particular, have emerged as symbols of forward-thinking strategy, where hospitality is more than an industry; it is a national identity and economic catalyst. As these nations move from oil-based economies to diversified service ecosystems, hospitality plays a central role in that vision. Meanwhile, Egypt is also developing and evolving at a remarkable pace, with Cairo witnessing a surge of new projects and innovations. The North Coast, in particular, is poised to become the new South of France, signaling Egypt’s rising position in the regional and global hospitality scene.

Traditionally associated with grandeur and five-star opulence, the concept of luxury in the region is evolving into something far more personal and experience-driven. From hot air balloon rides over the desert to AI-powered spa diagnostics and chef-curated dining under the stars, travelers now expect tailored journeys that are immersive, sensory, and rich in story. Cities like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh and Jeddah are no longer just destinations, they are experiences in themselves, driven by design, narrative, and a growing emphasis on smart infrastructure.

At the core of this transformation lies artificial intelligence and automation. The future guest journey begins well before check-in, with preferences predicted through data, experiences curated in advance, and environments tuned to personal needs. From facial recognition entry to in-room temperature and lighting synced to guests’ rhythm, tomorrow’s hotel will feel intuitive and anticipatory. AI-powered concierges, automated room service, and intelligent F&B operations will enhance convenience without diminishing warmth.

“The challenge is to embrace technology without losing humanity,” noted Audeh. “True luxury remains in personalized service, in being genuinely understood, and in delivering every experience with soul.”

The guest profile is also changing. International tourists, wellness seekers, business travelers, and digital nomads are arriving with high expectations: seamless connectivity, sustainable living, wellness-forward design, and experiences that reflect local culture. Mid-range and lifestyle hotels are rising alongside five-star icons, proving that hospitality excellence can be inclusive, accessible, and design-forward.

Sustainability is another pillar of the future. Hotels in the GCC will be built not only for beauty but for a purpose. Energy efficiency, smart waste systems, and carbon-conscious construction will become essentials rather than add-ons. Guests are increasingly choosing brands that align with their values, and environmental responsibility is becoming a competitive edge.

Looking ahead to the next five to ten years, Campbell Gray Hotels anticipates that the region’s hospitality sector will be shaped by:

  • Full integration of smart technologies and automation across operations
  • Deep personalization using AI and guest data analytics
  • Modular, sustainable, and wellness-focused design
  • Multisensory guest experiences blending culture, food, art, and nature
  • Inter-GCC connectivity, enabled by high-speed rail and airline partnerships
  • And a new definition of luxury, calm, quiet, curated, and emotionally intelligent

Saudi Arabia, in particular, is poised for explosive growth. With giga-projects like Neom, Al Ula, and the Red Sea Development, the Kingdom is accelerating a transformation that reimagines the guest journey entirely, from ancient heritage to hyper-modern design. Al Ula stands out as a beacon of this new vision, an open-air museum of geological wonder and cultural depth, now evolving into a world-class destination for sustainable luxury tourism.

“Campbell Gray Hotels has always believed that hospitality is about timelessness, character, and human connection,” said Audeh. “In the GCC, that philosophy finds its perfect future home.”

As the region moves boldly into the future, Campbell Gray Hotels reaffirms its commitment to building spaces of soul and significance, where beauty is purposeful, service is intelligent, and every stay becomes a story worth telling.
