Automobili Lamborghini introduces the Huracán STJ, a special series limited to just ten units, serving as the final tribute to the super sports car powered by the renowned V10 engine, an engineering icon from the Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer.

This move not only commemorates the significant role the naturally aspirated V10 engine played in Lamborghinis history, particularly within the Huracán lineup introduced in 2014, but it also signals the transition towards a new era of hybrid super sports cars expected to debut by the end of 2024.

The “STJ” in Huracán STJ stands for Super Trofeo Jota, a nod to Lamborghini’s rich racing heritage and the rigorous specifications defined by the FIA’s Appendix J for racing vehicles. This designation is a testament to the brand’s dedication to performance and its storied history of track-focused models, such as the Miura SVJ and the Aventador SVJ.

A Masterpiece of Design and Aerodynamics

Drawing from the Huracán STO’s blueprint, the STJ edition pushes the boundaries of performance with a unique package that amplifies the racing DNA of its forerunner.

This package includes the innovative “cofango,” carbon fiber aerodynamic enhancements, and a tweaked rear wing angle that together deliver a 10% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency, ensuring the car remains agile and perfectly balanced.

The aerodynamic advancements stem from a decade of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s dominance in Gran Turismo racing, marking a significant leap in design and engineering prowess.

While mirroring the STO’s power figures, 640 CV at 800 rpm and 565 Nm of torque controlled by a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox combined with the rear-wheel drive only, the Huracán STJ introduces race-derived, adjustable shock absorbers and bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race tires to further refine its driving dynamics.

The shock absorbers are four-way adjustable to optimize the rebound and compression at both high and low frequencies, giving total freedom of choice in the set-up based on the track characteristics. The special characteristics of the shock absorbers allow lower spring stiffness to be used while maintaining optimal dynamic control of the car and increasing steering precision. To maximize the driving dynamics, special Bridgestone Potenza Race tires have been developed, made with a specific high grip compound and installed on 20” single-nut rims.

This meticulous attention to mechanical detail not only translates into superior handling and performance but also contributed to the car outperforming the Huracán STO in lap times at the Nardò Technical Center Handling Track.

Exclusive Aesthetics and Personalization

The car’s sporty essence and unique nature are mirrored in its design, offering two distinct configuration and color scheme options, meticulously crafted by Lamborghini Centro Stile.

The first option pairs Grigio Telesto (gray) exterior with a Nero Noctis (black) roof, accented by Rosso Mars (red) and Bianco Isi (white) highlights, alongside an interior featuring Nero Cosmus (black) Alcantara seats adorned with leather accents and Rosso Alala (red) stitching for contrast. The second variant features a Blu Eliadi (blue) exterior set against a Nero Noctis (black) roof, complemented by Rosso Mars (red) and Bianco Isi (white) accents.

Inside, the use of a special numbered carbon fiber plate and the option for a custom passenger-side plate elevate the sense of exclusivity, allowing owners to imprint their personal touch on this limited series.

As Lamborghini transitions to a new chapter with its upcoming hybrid super sports cars, the Huracán STJ stands as a fitting homage to the V10 engine’s legacy. It captures the peak of the Huracán family’s evolution, combining unparalleled performance with distinctive styling and the exclusive allure synonymous with the Lamborghini name.
